Smash Mouth- Recess (spoof)

I was in my classroom,

Arriving at my desktop,

I wanted to finish by my way.

The teacher was kind of dumb,

With sunglasses in the dark

And an elegant suit in a jean’s day

Well the work started coming and it don’t stop coming

Back to the work, I don’t hear the bell sounding

Didn’t make sense coming to the school

I didn’t learned, I was just a fool

So much to do, so much to write

I was going to get my face pale white

But I heard a beautiful sound

The bell rang, time to get out

Hey now, you are in recess

Let’s do soccer, go play

Get a sandwich, don’t pay

I will get to the store

Gonna get a snack, go to shore

It’s a boring place, and they say it gets worse

I am so tired, I have no force

And the principal says “Don’t worry,

Now go back to work or you’ll feel sorry”

The halls we run, to get to class

The parking lot where we get the bus

But now’s the time, once again

To open doors and break some chains

There’s not a good weather

And I’m not feeling better
